I hereby apply for membership of Whitford Pony Club and, if accepted, will abide by all the rules of the club.
Parent(s) or guardian(s) of each family recognise that this riding membership application has been applied for and agree to assist with at least three (3) rallies/working bees and two (2) events per season, or with alternative tasks agreed upon by the committee (12hrs per family per annum).
For those unable or unwilling to assist with rallies, working bees, events or other tasks, there is a levy of $400.
Caregivers also accept that they must be responsible for their children's riding at all times. Riders under the age of 16 years must be supervised by an adult while on club grounds. All riders must have a companion who is capable of calling for assistance if they intend to do any form of jumping.
All riders and families must respect the security of the club by not passing on the combination padlock codes to non-members.
Adult Riding Members acknowledge that:
• I am fully aware of the responsibilities and obligations as an adult rider (see details below)
• I am unable to use the facilities whilst rallies, district events and other closed events are being held on the club grounds (details can be found on the club website and/or Facebook page)
• I will give full consideration to all Pony Club riding members space and safety at all times
• I will respect the grounds and its facilities, riding only in areas designated as “open”
• I will not pass on the combination padlock codes to non-members
I recognize that riding membership is conditional upon agreement to assist or participate in the following pony club activities (12hrs per rider per annum):
• The setup and or running of WPC open events during the season
• Working bees and PC events at the club grounds
• Other tasks as agreed with by the committee
For those unable or unwilling to assist there is a working bee levy of $400.
All Riders: Must comply with NZPCA specified standards for safety gear eg helmets and back protectors. Back protectors must be used at all times when riding cross country.
Privacy Act 1993
WPC and NZPCA undertake to collect, use and store information you provide according to the principles of the Privacy Act 1993. This information will be used for membership records. NZPCA assumes the right to retain, use or disclose this information by printing and circulating a list of pony club personnel to its members, funding and sponsorship agencies, manufacturing and marketing agencies and affiliated equestrian bodies. Whitford Pony Club assumes you consent to this unless you notify otherwise in writing.
